What is the Smoothing therapy system?

The Design Essentials Smoothing Therapy System is a professional hair care treatment designed to smooth, straighten, and strengthen natural hair while maintaining its natural integrity. It is often used as an alternative to chemical relaxers, providing temporary smoothness and frizz control without permanently altering the curl pattern. It is amino acid based and lasts for 12 weeks. It is a $100 add-on service.

What do i need to do before my visit?

The night before, section by section, mist your hair with 50/50 water and oil mixture then detangle thoroughly from roots to ends. Be careful and finger detangle when necessary. Saturate your hair with oil then put hair in 4-8 large braids or twists.

DO YOU REMOVE ALL SPLIT ENDS?

Clients should be prepared to cut off all split ends to prevent further damage. This is how you get results sooner.

Do I have to Get a Silk Press?

Yes, I start everyone off on the first two visits with a silk press. After that, you can also do braid downs and natural twist styles.
